A different perspective on the QLD floods
[Me]: You know I was sitting there, driving to work, and suddenly I had tears down my face. I mean, think about it, you walk home from work, and your entire house is just gone. Gone. All of it.
[KJ]: I don't mean to sound insensitive but I think its beautiful. Its Mother Earth doing her work.
[Me: How do you mean?
[KJ]: If everything was taken away from me, I would know what was important. I would immediately know that the universe has done for me what I could not - cleansed me of everything material, and forced me to rebuild only with the things I need
[Me]: You're crazy
[KJ]: Its like living in an ashram, only Nature is the power that's forcing you there.
Me]: What if you had no choice though? These people had no choice.
[KJ]: True. But you can't blame the earth. She reclaims everything we take from her. And we've taken a lot from her.
